Architect: Gábor Erhardt
Located in the centre of Mád, the plot is accessible through a short driveway opening from the main street. The former outbuilding, running along the main street, may have belonged to the Hotel Kék Szőlő, which was once one of the most impressive looking public buildings. Perhaps this very same plot was used for storing the carriages and horses of the hotel guests.
Only the room closest to the street and the huge, multi-level cellar system that opens behind the retaining wall have been preserved.
The existing cellar, the retaining wall and the wine-maturing room opening onto the street were integrated into the new building. The premises used for wine and champagne production were added to the main part of the building, which was designed to evoke the original structure. The main part of building is complemented by the new high-ceilinged tasting room, which is connected to an office and a meeting room in the loft.
